Ok so another M.I.A story...

I'm listening to 99x on the way to work this morning and they are introducing new songs that they want listeners to vote on and see which one will be played on 99x. Well they played a new Nada Surf song that was really gay. Then the guy was like ok here is a remix from a band called M.I.A. it's a girl from london blah blah. then they start talking about the uk hip hop scene like they knew what they are talking about. So the remix was by System of a Down. WTF It was absolute SHIT. The intro sounds like a train wreck and it just totally fucks up the whole mia sound. Then the people calling in commenting on it were like "yeah this girl sucks" "this song is gay" "what the hell is this crap?" and I was getting pissed and I was gonna call in but I didn't know the damn number. grrr. They so didn't make it fair. M.I.A doesn't really sound as bad as that remix. Nothing beats the original tracks she has. Except maybe for some Diplo remixes of course. By and actual DJ. sheesh. Oh but what was friggin halarious is that one caller came on and name dropped 88.5 for playing MIA's music. It was awesome, 99x got pissed! haha. AND 99x made fun of Rap in the US compared to the UK bc we're sooo far away from UK we can't touch them bc we do the same bullshit over and over. OH! AND! that brings me to my next issue....has anyone heard the new Ying Yang Twins song that has all of the Kevin Aviance samples in it??? It has the Din Da Da song and the Shut Up song in it. Can somone explain that to me?? I wonder if they asked Kevin if they could use that? What is going on? lol that song is horrible and I feel bad that great house music could be remixed with some ghetto as rappers over it. heh. ok so looks like shits trying to blow up here. I'm noticing that underground bands and artist are becoming more mainstream more rapidly. crazy

teebee got cancelled for tomorrow :( I was really looking forward to seeing him <3. Now how about this new brendon lee party at North Atlantic Trade Center with RITM and Photek Dec.17? Any thoughts? Balzy move....I like the comment Jennifer made on Lunar about brendon using someone else's money to throw it. And NATC? I don't know if that venue can fill up even half way. I mean seriously this is a Rave but obviously that term died a long time ago in atl. Would be very cool if it actually fell through and there is supposed to be more headliners announced. Im very curious to see where this is going to end up.

I friggin love DSC so much. I always have so much fun! Friday was awesome! I can't believe RAVERY actually came out. It was so good to see him. Hasn't changed one bit;) And damn he must be ballin bc he bought shot after mutha fuckin shot. At the Mark we went from the downstairs bar to the upstairs one and back and forth and back and forth. Whew, I was very wasted by the time we got to DSC. Very good times. I wish I would of taken more pics tho. The ones I got are priceless tho. I love Avery's "Fabulous Shot". C-a-r-i-s-m-a. :) Werk it...

did anyone go to downtown rocks saturday?? It was the most horrible experience at a concert I have ever had in my entire life. Fuck packed like sardines, if there is anything worse than that, then underground was it. I mean you LITERALLY had to crawl over people and PUSH your way to get ANYWHERE. Not only could you not breath if you weren't taller than most people but you had to be pressed up against the nastiest sweatiest people who had thier shirts off and were hammered so of course they are yelling their heads off. UGH. What a nightmare. I will NEVER go back to another Downtown Rocks again as long as it's held at Underground. Which was the most ignorant place to hold a concert that knowingly would bring in a crowd that huge. People were climbing the sides of the bulidings, lightposts, anything they could find that was higher than the crowd. Oh and don't get me started on the loud ass mother fucking teenagers on Marta. RAWR! /rant
